 | Phil Gunter manages Velocity, the award winning loyalty program of Virgin Blue. Velocity is a young and innovative online program best known for pioneering the popular 'dynamic' any seat rewards. Velocity prides itself on offering exceptional rewards and member service and was recently won 6 Freddie's including 'Program of the year' at the 2009 Freddie Awards. Velocity is a separate business within the Virgin Blue Group and is set up with fully costed points and transparent accounts which enable the full impact of the program to be analysed. Originally from the UK, Phil previously worked in finance and marketing for British Airways before moving to Australia and spending 8 years in banking with marketing, product and strategy roles at American Express and two major Australian banks. The combination of Airlines, Loyalty and the Virgin Brand was too great to resist and Phil joined Virgin Blue in May 2006. |
