Ajay is currently the Vice President Customer Relationship Management at Taj Hotels Resorts & Palaces in addition to being the Managing Partner of The Row Partnership and delivering pro bono expertise to two of India’s largest and most respected NGOs (CRY and AkshayaPatra).
After launching India’s first loyalty program for ITC-Welcomgroup in the 1980s, he has spent nearly 25 years working and consulting in loyalty, data-driven marketing and CRM in India, the US, the UK and Singapore, implementing data-driven marketing and loyalty programs across 65 countries for some of the worlds most demanding companies including IBM, P&G, Unilever, Citibank, Ford, British Telecom, AT&T, Mauritius Government Tourist Office and myriad others.
Ajay has founded / co-founded several companies including CustomerAsset, a BPO focused on managing customers as strategic assets, UCP Direct, a loyalty service provider and The Row Partnership a professional services firm focused on loyalty and data-driven marketing besides managing Wunderman’s and Grey Direct’s India operations.
Ajay is a published author and regular lecturer usually on topics related to CRM and data-driven marketing. He has repeatedly been a judge and/or speaker at both national and international loyalty and data-driven marketing events.
After schooling in India, the U.K. and France, Ajay graduated from St. Xavier’s College (Mumbai) and the IIM (Calcutta). He is married with two children and a golden retriever and is a keen weekend sailor who plays enthusiastic (if clumsy) jazz and classical guitar.
