Patrick Bianquis, 60, graduated from the French Aeronautical Engineering School (Sup’Aéro) in Toulouse, and holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford, California.
 
After a few years in two consulting firms, Patrick Bianquis joined Air France in 1977.  He is currently Vice President in charge of the Alliances Department.He has extensive experience with the airline, having worked in many different areas such as Maintenance, Operations Control, Station Management, Crew Scheduling and Network Management.
 
In 1995, Patrick Bianquis was appointed member of the task force that redesigned Air France hub schedules at Paris-Charles de Gaulle, and subsequently took part in alliance negotiations with Continental and Delta.
In his current position since December 1996, he played a key role in the launch of SkyTeam together with Delta, Aero Mexico and Korean Air in June 2000 and the subsequent recruiting of additional SkyTeam carriers, the Air France KLM combination in 2003 leading to KLM, Northwest and Continental’s entry into SkyTeam and the design of the Associates program.
 
Patrick Bianquis is also the SkyTeam Project Manager for Air France, the AF-KL Chief Coordinator of the transatlantic JV with DL and, with his team, in charge of a set of around 30 additional bilateral code-share partnerships.
