Anita Hawthorne joined Air New Zealand in 1999. Anita’s earlier years in the airline were in the finance area, with finance management roles in sales and distribution.
In early 2007, Anita was a member of the Air New Zealand internal strategic review programme. The innovations of this programme such as ePass, mPass and myairnz were awarded Loyalty 09 People’s Choice Award.
Following the strategic review programme, Anita took up the role of Manager, Airpoints, Air New Zealand’s award winning frequent flyer programme. After holding this role for just over two years with the most recent project extending direct earn financial partners, Anita moved to a new role within Air New Zealand in January 2010 as Manager, Commercial Planning & Performance.
